This is a 6-day trip. It mixes a Tarangire and Ngorongoro safari with a match day in Arusha. The match is at the new Samia Suluhu Hassan Stadium. AFCON 2027 runs from 19 June to 17 July 2027. Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda host it together.
You start with two safari days. You'll see Tarangire's elephants and its baobab trees. Then comes a full day in the Ngorongoro Crater. After that, you head back to Arusha. Match day is timed around kickoff.
This trip suits two kinds of guests. Some are fans who want more than match days. Others are safari travelers whose 2027 dates land during the tournament. They can add a match with no extra hassle.

Day 1
Arrival in Arusha
A driver waits at Kilimanjaro International Airport. He holds a sign with your name. Our guide Emmanuel meets you with easy small talk. It helps after a long flight. He loads your bags. He asks about your trip. This year, he also asks who you're cheering for.
The drive to Arusha passes coffee farms. It passes small roadside stalls too. At the hotel, the evening is free. Emmanuel shares the plan over a welcome drink. Safari first, he says. Then the match. No rush between the two.
🔥 EXCITING WILDLIFE SPOTLIGHT GAME DRIVE
Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
We leave early. The heat hasn't set in yet. The land changes fast past the park gate. Old baobab trees stand tall against dry grass. Tarangire's elephants stay close to the river. Emmanuel stops the car near a herd. For a moment, nobody speaks.
Lunch is at a shaded spot in the park. Guests share notes on the morning's sightings. Emmanuel spots a giraffe near the treeline. The afternoon drive moves at an easy pace. There's no rush. Dinner waits back at the lodge.
You sleep near Tarangire tonight. Your room depends on your chosen tier. After dinner, Emmanuel gives a short talk. Tomorrow starts early, on the way to Ngorongoro.
Day 3
Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater Rim
The drive climbs through farmland. Then it climbs the Rift Valley wall. At some point, talk turns to football. Who's fit. Who's hurt. What a home crowd might mean for Tanzania's team.
We reach the crater-rim lodge by afternoon. The light often drops fast here. You get your first look into the crater. Dinner follows soon after. Emmanuel explains tomorrow's early start. The crater's best light comes before other cars arrive.
Day 4
Full Day in the Ngorongoro Crater
We drive down before most camps serve breakfast. The crater floor opens wide. Grassland. A soda lake. Often more wildlife than almost anywhere else in Tanzania. Emmanuel checks the radio. Other guides share where the action is.
Lunch is at a picnic spot inside the crater. Hippos often sit in a nearby pool. Vervet monkeys watch closely for food. By early afternoon, we climb back out. The drive turns toward Arusha. The match is now one day away.
Day 5
Arusha AFCON 2027 Match Day
The morning stays free. No game drive. No early start. Just breakfast and maybe a walk in town. Emmanuel checks the latest news on stadium entry times. A brand-new venue often means long queues. First-time visitors don't expect this.
We leave for Samia Suluhu Hassan Stadium with time to spare. Parking is booked ahead. Inside, the noise builds before kickoff. Emmanuel has followed Tanzanian football for years. He never thought a tournament this big would land in Arusha. Tonight, he's as excited as anyone.
After the match, the walk back takes longer than the walk in. That's normal when a full stadium empties at once. Back at the hotel, dinner runs late. Everyone trades match stories.
Day 6
Departure from Arusha
The last morning is quiet. The week's pace has caught up with everyone. Depending on your flight, there's time for coffee. Then Emmanuel arrives for the airport run. He asks if you got a photo with the stadium.
The airport drive feels familiar now. The goodbye is warm. Emmanuel usually hopes your team goes further than expected
