This is our longest day trip, and our most popular. The crater floor holds a wide mix of habitats in one compact area. Your guide will search for lion, elephant, buffalo, and, depending on season and wildlife movement, black rhino. No sighting is ever guaranteed.
This trip needs an early start, around 6:00 AM, to make the most of crater floor time before the return drive.

Option 2
Arusha National Park Day Trip
Start: Arusha Finish: ArushaDistance: ~40 km each wayDrive Time: ~45 minutes each wayMeals: Packed lunch
This is our shortest trip, good for a lighter free day. Arusha National Park allows a guided walking safari alongside a normal game drive, which is rare in Tanzania. Giraffe and buffalo sightings are common here, and the park holds a large colobus monkey population.
Option 3
Tarangire National Park Day Trip

Tarangire is known for its elephant population and its old baobab trees. Your guide will search the riverbed area, where elephant families often gather, especially in the dry season. A mid-length trip, longer than Arusha National Park but shorter than Ngorongoro.
Option 4
Maasai Village Cultural Day Trip
Start: Arusha Finish: ArushaDistance: ~60–90 km each way, depending on the village visitedTravel Time: ~1.5–2h each wayActivities: Guided village visit, cultural demonstrationMeals: Packed lunch
A non-wildlife option for fans who want a cultural change of pace. A local guide leads a visit to a Maasai community, covering daily life, traditional homes, and craft work. This trip suits fans who've already done a wildlife day trip and want something different.
