After an early morning pickup in Arusha (07:00 AM), enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most underrated destinations. Inside the park, towering ancient baobab trees dominate the skyline above herds of elephants regularly exceeding 300 animals — Tarangire has the highest elephant density in northern Tanzania, concentrated along the permanent Tarangire River.

Your afternoon game drive (until around 17:00) reveals lions resting in the shade, giraffes browsing the canopy, buffalo, cheetahs, and over 550 recorded bird species, including the Masai Ostrich. A picnic lunch is enjoyed within the park before you check in at Tarangire Sopa Lodge (or similar) for the evening, complete with pool and terrace dining overlooking the park.
