1 Day Tanzania Safari to Serengeti National Park — From Mwanza

Early Morning Departure from Mwanza
Your Serengeti day trip tour departs Mwanza early in the morning with a breakfast box and lunch/picnic box prepared and ready. Settle in for the scenic drive toward the Serengeti's Ndabaka gate, watching the landscape gradually transform as you approach the park boundary.

Arrival at Ndabaka Gate & Breakfast
On arriving at the Serengeti National Park gate, you'll enjoy your breakfast picnic box right at the entrance, followed by check-in at the park. After completing registration formalities, your game drive begins.

Western Corridor Game Drive (Ndabaka to Seronera)
The game drive starts from the Western Corridor, also known as Ndabaka, heading toward Seronera in central Serengeti — a journey of approximately 3 hours. The western corridor landscape is more wooded, and it is common to see giraffes, elephants, zebra, impala, topi, ostrich, hippo, and waterbuck along the way, along with many smaller animals navigating the riverine bush.

Grumeti River — Crocodiles & Hippos
Drive along the Grumeti River, watching for crocodiles hunting zebras and herbivores at the water's edge. Look out for pods of hippos that "yawn" at the surface of the river, and keep an eye out for signs of large cats and predators moving through the surrounding vegetation.

Afternoon Game Drive — Central Serengeti
In the afternoon, enjoy an extensive game drive en route to Central Serengeti, a large plain full of tall grass. Here you'll find the big cats — lions, leopards, and cheetahs — patrolling the open landscape. If the timing is right, the wildebeest migration is incredible to witness from this vantage point.

Picnic Lunch & Continued Game Viewing
Stop at a designated picnic area for lunch, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Serengeti plains. After lunch, continue your game drive in Central Serengeti, slowly making your way back through the western corridor. The Serengeti is home to cheetah, black rhino, wild dogs, and elephants that live within the reserve, and the Big Five are common in this region.

Exit & Return to Mwanza (Around 17:00)
Around 1700 hours, you'll exit the Serengeti National Park gate and head back to Mwanza. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel or residence, bringing an unforgettable day of safari adventure to a close.
