This 6-day family safari takes you through Northern Tanzania’s best parks: Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. Your family will enjoy close-up encounters with Africa’s wildlife, beautiful landscapes, and thrilling game drives.
Arrive in Arusha and transfer to your accommodation. After a welcome briefing, the rest of the day is free to relax and prepare for your upcoming safari.
Drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and baobab trees. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge for the night.
Head to the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous wildlife destination. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive through this vast savannah, home to abundant wildlife and the iconic big cats.
Spend the day in the Serengeti with both morning and afternoon game drives. Look out for lion, leopard, cheetah, and the great migration (seasonal), as well as numerous bird species.
Drive to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the crater for a full-day game drive and see a variety of wildlife, including rhinos, zebras, and flamingos.
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy some time for last-minute shopping or a visit to the cultural center before your departure.
While packing light is essential, ensure you have sunscreen, insect repellent, a first aid kit, and appropriate clothing for both hot and cool weather.
Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the safari, especially during game drives when temperatures can rise.
Maintain a safe distance from animals, and do not disturb their natural behaviors. Your guide will ensure a respectful approach during the safari.
For the best wildlife viewing, binoculars are a must. Don’t forget your camera to capture your family’s safari moments!
Game drives can be long, so schedule some time for relaxation. Many lodges offer pools or nature walks that are great for unwinding.
