5-Day Northern Circuit Safari: Top Tanzanian Parks

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha and Transfer to Tarangire National Park

After arrival in Arusha, you’ll meet your safari guide and head towards Tarangire National Park, about a two-hour drive from Arusha. Known for its striking landscape dotted with ancient baobab trees, Tarangire is a haven for large herds of elephants and boasts an impressive variety of wildlife. Known for its lush, groundwater-fed forests and seasonal flamingo population along the lake’s shores, the park also hosts tree-climbing lions, which are rare in other parts of Tanzania. The morning game drive includes sightings of elephants, giraffes, and hippos, with birdwatching opportunities in the forests and along the lakeshore. In the afternoon, return to Arusha for the end of the safari, marking the completion of an incredible five-day journey through Northern Tanzania’s top parks.
