Plan your Adventure with Generous Tours

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha and Transfer to Tarangire National Park

After arrival in Arusha, you’ll meet your safari guide and head towards Tarangire National Park, about a two-hour drive from Arusha. Known for its striking landscape dotted with ancient baobab trees, Tarangire is a haven for large herds of elephants and boasts an impressive variety of wildlife. Enjoy a leisurely game drive in the park, spotting giraffes, zebras, lions, and leopards, all drawn to the Tarangire River, which is a key water source in the dry season. Overnight stay will be at a lodge or campsite within or near the park.

Day 2: Transfer from Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, journey to the Serengeti, Tanzania most famous park. Along the way, enjoy scenic views and a stop at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for some breathtaking sights. Reaching the Serengeti by afternoon, you’ll have your first game drive through the vast plains, famous for its wide, open landscapes and enormous diversity of wildlife. Look out for lions, cheetahs, and large herds of wildebeest, especially during migration season. You’ll stay overnight in a lodge or tented camp, experiencing the true essence of Africa’s wilderness under a star-studded sky.

Day 3: Full Day Safari in Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to exploring Serengeti’s diverse ecosystems, from grasslands to riverine forests. An early morning game drive is ideal for spotting predators like lions and leopards as they complete their night hunts. You’ll witness the park’s unique predator-prey interactions, with large numbers of herbivores, including gazelles, buffalos, and zebras, roaming the plains. Break for lunch at a scenic spot before continuing with an afternoon game drive, capturing iconic Serengeti sunsets over the savanna. Spend the evening relaxing at your accommodation, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After breakfast, travel from the Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s largest intact volcanic calderas. This UNESCO World Heritage site hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife within its 100-square-mile crater floor. Descend the crater’s walls to begin a game drive that could include sightings of rare black rhinos, hippos wallowing in freshwater pools, and abundant bird species. The closed ecosystem provides unique viewing opportunities as animals are easy to spot. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater before continuing the drive. Overnight will be at a nearby lodge or campsite along the rim of the crater.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park and Return to Arusha

On your final day, visit Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet diverse park located at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. Known for its lush, groundwater-fed forests and seasonal flamingo population along the lake’s shores, the park also hosts tree-climbing lions, which are rare in other parts of Tanzania. The morning game drive includes sightings of elephants, giraffes, and hippos, with birdwatching opportunities in the forests and along the lakeshore. In the afternoon, return to Arusha for the end of the safari, marking the completion of an incredible five-day journey through Northern Tanzania’s top parks.
