Embark on a 9-day safari adventure across Tanzania's most iconic national parks: Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara. This well-curated itinerary combines classic game viewing with cultural immersion and deluxe accommodation. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by our professional driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Settle in, enjoy a welcome dinner, and rest ahead of your safari adventure.
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours). Famous for its large herds of elephants and majestic baobab trees, Tarangire offers incredible game viewing. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Spot lions, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and various bird species. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp inside or near the park.
Spend another exciting day exploring different sections of Tarangire. Venture deeper into the Silale Swamp and Tarangire River areas where wildlife congregates. Optional walking safari or sundowner available depending on your accommodation. Overnight stay at the same lodge/camp.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park (approx. 1.5 hours). Explore the diverse ecosystems from groundwater forests to the soda lake. Watch for tree-climbing lions, baboons, elephants, flamingos, and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive. Overnight at a lodge overlooking the Great Rift Valley or inside the park.
After early breakfast, depart for the legendary Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Highlands (approx. 6-7 hours with game viewing en route). Enter the Serengeti through Naabi Hill Gate. Begin your first Serengeti game drive on the endless plains. Evening arrival at your luxury tented camp or lodge in Central Serengeti.
Enjoy a full-day safari exploring the Seronera Valley, known for its high concentration of predators and diverse wildlife. Witness lions on kopjes, leopards in acacia trees, and cheetahs on the hunt. Depending on the season, you may see wildebeest migration herds. Optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise (extra cost). Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti as you make your way to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Maasai villages or Olduvai Gorge (optional). Arrive at your lodge perched on the crater rim in the evening. Spectacular views and cool temperatures await.
Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Expect to see black rhinos, lions, hyenas, elephants, buffalo, and more. After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, ascend and drive to Karatu for your overnight stay in a comfortable lodge.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, then drive back to Arusha (approx. 3 hours). Visit local markets or have lunch at a local restaurant depending on your departure time. You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight. End of safari.
The best time is from June to October (dry season), when wildlife is easier to spot. However, November to March is also excellent for birdwatching and seeing newborn animals.
