This immersive 9-day safari takes you through East Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations: Kenya’s Masai Mara, Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park during the Great Migration, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Ideal for wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, and adventure seekers, this tour gives you front-row access to one of nature’s greatest spectacles—millions of wildebeest and zebra crossing predator-filled plains. Your journey includes high-end game drives, guided bush walks, and exceptional lodging, all curated for comfort and authenticity.
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari representative and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. After check-in, relax and enjoy your evening with a safari briefing. Overnight at a comfortable lodge or boutique hotel.
After breakfast, drive through the Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Masai Mara. Arrive at your luxury tented camp in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. The reserve is teeming with wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and more.
Spend the day on full game drives in Masai Mara, where large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles attract predators such as lions and leopards. If visiting between July and October, you may witness the dramatic river crossings during the migration.
After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Isebania border to enter Tanzania. After clearing customs, continue your journey into the northern Serengeti. Arrive at your camp in time for a short evening game drive. The northern Serengeti is known for river crossings and predator-prey action during the migration.
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti’s vast ecosystem. Depending on the time of year, your guide will focus on areas where the migration is active. Expect to encounter massive herds, as well as lions, hyenas, leopards, and elephants. Enjoy a bush picnic or return to camp for lunch.
Another full day in Serengeti. You may choose an optional hot air balloon safari at dawn for panoramic views of the plains and wildlife below. Continue with morning and afternoon game drives exploring new areas or tracking the migration.
Depart the Serengeti with a game drive en route. Stop at Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site of major importance. Continue to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at your lodge perched on the crater rim. Enjoy panoramic views and a relaxed evening.
Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, home to Africa’s densest population of wildlife. Expect close-up encounters with rhinos, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and flamingos. Enjoy a full-day crater tour with picnic lunch. Return to the lodge for your final night in the wild.
After breakfast, drive to Arusha with optional stops for souvenirs. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be dropped at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound flight or transferred to your hotel if extending your stay.
July to October is ideal to witness the Great Migration in Masai Mara and Northern Serengeti. December to March is also excellent for calving season in Southern Serengeti.
