Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. In the evening, you will meet your mountain guide for a detailed briefing and gear check to ensure you are fully prepared for the trek.
Your adventure begins with a drive to Londorossi Gate for registration. The trek starts through dense rainforest, home to monkeys, birds, and lush vegetation. The trail gradually climbs until you reach Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Camp.

Leaving the rainforest behind, the trail ascends into heath and moorland. Enjoy expansive views of the Shira Plateau and Mount Meru in the distance before reaching Shira 1 Camp.

Today’s trek is shorter and easier, allowing for better acclimatization. You will cross the Shira Plateau, a vast volcanic landscape with sweeping mountain views, before settling at Shira 2 Camp.

This challenging day follows the “climb high, sleep low” principle. Trek to Lava Tower (4,600m) for acclimatization, then descend through alpine desert into the beautiful Barranco Valley, camping below the iconic Barranco Wall.

Begin the day by conquering the famous Barranco Wall, an adventurous climb with stunning views. The trail continues across ridges and valleys before reaching Karanga Camp for overnight rest.

A short but steep trek leads to Barafu Camp, the base camp for your summit attempt. Rest, hydrate, and prepare for the midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak.

Begin your summit push around midnight. Trek in the cold darkness to Stella Point (5,739m) before continuing to Uhuru Peak—the highest point in Africa. Witness a spectacular sunrise from the Roof of Africa. After celebrations and photos, descend to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.

Descend through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your summit certificate. From here, transfer back to Moshi or Arusha for overnight stay or airport departure.
