Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your safari guide and transfer to your lodge in Arusha for overnight. Rest and prepare for the journey ahead. After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Known for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers a diverse wildlife experience. Overnight at a lodge near the park. Early departure for Serengeti National Park. Drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands with optional stop at Olduvai Gorge. Arrive in the central Serengeti for an afternoon game drive. Overnight in a tented camp inside the park. Spend the day tracking the wildebeest migration (location depends on the season). Look out for river crossings, big cats, and large herds across the plains. Picnic lunch and sundowner in the wild. Overnight at the same camp. After a morning game drive, head toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop along the way for wildlife sightings. Overnight at a lodge on the crater rim with stunning views. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is home to rhinos, lions, hyenas, buffalo, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater floor. Return to Arusha for overnight or day room use. Transfer to the airport for your flight home or onward destination. Optional cultural visit to a Maasai village can be arranged if time permits. The Great Migration is seasonal. For river crossings, the best time is July to September in Northern Serengeti. Calving season in Southern Serengeti is from January to March.
