generoustours43@gmail.com Book the classic 5 Days Tanzania Safari — Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater & Tarangire in one unforgettable package. Most booked Tanzania safari 2025/2026. Expert guides, Big Five guaranteed parks.
The 5 Days Tanzania Safari is the most booked safari package across Tanzania's Northern Circuit and offers an unforgettable wildlife experience through three of East Africa's most iconic destinations: Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater. The journey begins in Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Visitors enjoy excellent opportunities to observe elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and hundreds of bird species in their natural habitat. The safari then continues to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, home to Africa's highest concentration of large predators and the famous Great Migration. Guests spend two nights exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti, tracking lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and countless grazing animals. The adventure concludes at the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater supports one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa, including the rare black rhinoceros and all members of the Big Five. This five-day itinerary provides the perfect balance of wildlife viewing, scenic landscapes, cultural encounters, and comfortable accommodations, making it ideal for first-time visitors, couples, families, and returning safari enthusiasts.
Depart Arusha after your morning briefing and drive southwest to Tarangire. Arriving before midday allows a full afternoon game drive along the iconic Tarangire River, where dry-season elephant concentrations are extraordinary — hundreds often visible from a single viewpoint.
Beyond elephants, expect large herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, lions, leopards, and African wild dogs amid Tarangire's striking baobab-dotted landscape.
After breakfast, drive north through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying spectacular highland scenery and panoramic crater views. Arrive in the Serengeti in the afternoon for your first game drive in the famous Seronera Valley.
The Seronera region is renowned for year-round predator sightings — lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species are commonly spotted.
Spend a full day exploring the endless plains. Early morning drives offer the best predator activity. Your guide tailors the day based on recent wildlife sightings and seasonal movements.
Depending on the time of year, you may witness the Great Migration — thousands of wildebeest and zebra crossing the ecosystem. Optional sunrise hot-air balloon safaris can be pre-arranged.
A morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing through beautiful highland landscapes. Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater rim in the afternoon for breathtaking views of the world's largest intact volcanic caldera.
Spend the evening relaxing at your crater-rim lodge as the sun sets over one of Africa's most dramatic landscapes.
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater (~260 km²) for a comprehensive wildlife experience. Around 25,000 large mammals call the crater home, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and the endangered black rhinoceros.
One of the few places in Africa offering a real chance at the Big Five in a single drive. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before the afternoon ascent and return drive to Arusha.
Best overall wildlife viewing. Sparse vegetation means animals concentrate around water. Excellent for big cats and large herds. Cooler, comfortable temperatures.
Calving season on the Serengeti plains — predator action is exceptional. Hot days but little rain. Ideal for photography with golden light and dramatic skies.
Intermittent showers turn the landscape lush and green. Fewer tourists, lower prices, and migrating birds arrive. Game drives still very productive.
Heaviest rainfall and lowest visitor numbers. Some roads become challenging. Rates drop significantly — good value for the adventurous traveller.
The wildebeest migration is a year-round event shifting across the ecosystem. July–August brings the dramatic Mara River crossings in the northern Serengeti. February sees calving on the southern plains. Ask your guide for current migration positions when booking.
