You'll explore the vast elephant herds of Tarangire National Park, glide across the waters of Lake Manyara spotting hippos, flamingos, and aquatic birds, and descend into the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater for a chance to witness Africa’s Big Five. With luxury accommodations, expert safari guides, and carefully curated experiences, this itinerary is perfect for wildlife enthusiasts who seek both adventure and tranquility.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our safari representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. After check-in, you'll have a detailed safari briefing where your guide will walk you through the adventure ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the hotel or explore the vibrant markets of Arusha. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in a comfortable lodge.
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its vast herds of elephants and majestic baobab trees. Embark on a full-day game drive, weaving through riverine forests, acacia woodlands, and open savannah. Watch for diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and over 500 bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park at a scenic viewpoint. In the evening, drive to your lodge located at the park’s boundary for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, proceed to Lake Manyara National Park, a lush paradise renowned for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Begin with a classic game drive, spotting giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, and a dazzling array of birdlife along the lakeshore. In the afternoon, you will embark on a serene boat safari on Lake Manyara itself. This unique water safari offers intimate encounters with hippos, flocks of pink flamingos, pelicans, storks, and other aquatic species. The calm cruise allows for exceptional photography opportunities. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Depart after breakfast for a full-day excursion into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." Descend into the crater floor, a vast caldera that shelters nearly every species of wildlife found in East Africa, including the elusive black rhino. Enjoy game drives through grasslands, forests, and lakeshores, where you'll have a high chance of spotting lions, cheetahs, elephants, hippos, and large herds of wildebeest and zebra. A picnic lunch will be served at the Hippo Pool picnic site. After an incredible day of wildlife viewing, ascend the crater and return to your lodge for a farewell dinner.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge before beginning your journey back to Arusha. En route, you may opt for a cultural tour of Mto wa Mbu Village, where you’ll experience the diverse tribal cultures of Tanzania, visit banana plantations, and learn about local crafts. Arrive in Arusha for a leisurely lunch (time permitting) before being transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
