Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After check-in, enjoy a safari briefing where you’ll get an overview of the next 5 days. Rest and enjoy dinner at the lodge, preparing for your adventure ahead.
After an early breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Arusha Airport for a scenic flight to the Central Serengeti. On arrival, your guide will pick you up for a game drive en route to your lodge. The Central Serengeti, especially the Seronera area, is renowned for its year-round wildlife, including large prides of lions, herds of elephants, giraffes, and hippos. You’ll have lunch at the lodge and head out for an afternoon game drive until sunset.
Wake up before dawn for your balloon safari adventure. You’ll be driven to the launch site where you’ll witness the massive balloon being inflated. As the sun rises, ascend into the sky for an hour-long flight over the Serengeti plains. Spot elephants, lions, and other animals from above – an experience that offers a truly unique perspective. After landing, enjoy a champagne breakfast in the bush.
Later, embark on a full-day game drive through the Central Serengeti. Explore the Seronera River Valley, known for its high concentration of big cats. Return to the lodge in the evening for relaxation and dinner.
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive or a short flight (depending on your package) to the Northern Serengeti, near the Mara River. This region is especially famous from July to October when the Great Migration herds attempt dramatic river crossings, often stalked by crocodiles and predators. Explore the Lamai Wedge and Kogatende area for epic game viewing. You’ll spend the day tracking migration herds, predators, and enjoying the vast open wilderness.
After an early breakfast and a final game drive in the northern region, you'll be transferred to the nearby airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Arusha. On arrival, enjoy lunch or relax at a dayroom before your transfer to the airport for your international departure or onward journey.
When is the best time to take this safari?
June to October is ideal for the Great Migration in the Northern Serengeti. However, the Central Serengeti offers excellent game viewing year-round.
