generoustours43@gmail.com Experience the best of Kenya’s wildlife with our 5 day Masai Mara Safari from Nairobi. Includes Big Five game drives, scenic landscapes, and luxury lodges in the heart of the Masai Mara.
This 5-day safari adventure from Nairobi to the legendary Masai Mara offers an in-depth exploration of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destination. Home to the Great Migration and the Big Five, the Masai Mara delivers breathtaking landscapes, rich Maasai culture, and unforgettable safari experiences. From morning and evening game drives to relaxing at well-appointed lodges, every day is crafted to bring you close to nature without compromising comfort.
Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. You'll depart in a customized 4x4 safari vehicle and drive through the Great Rift Valley—a geological marvel offering dramatic landscapes and panoramic viewpoints. A brief stop is made at a viewpoint overlooking the valley floor before continuing toward Narok Town, the last major town before Masai Mara. Lunch is taken en route or upon arrival at your lodge/camp. After check-in, you’ll enjoy your first game drive in the Masai Mara in the late afternoon—an ideal time to spot predators beginning their evening hunt. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, set out with packed lunch for a full day of uninterrupted game viewing. The Masai Mara is a vast savannah teeming with wildlife including lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and more. You’ll drive to the Mara River, a prime location during the Great Migration (July–October), where wildebeests and zebras attempt dramatic river crossings. Keep your camera ready for crocodiles and hippos in the river. Your guide will position the vehicle to give you the best views without disturbing the animals. A picnic lunch is enjoyed at a scenic spot within the reserve. Continue your game drives until late afternoon before heading back to camp for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Begin your day early with a sunrise game drive. The golden light enhances your photography, and animals are highly active during these early hours. You may spot lions feasting on last night’s hunt or cheetahs scanning the plains. Return to camp for a full breakfast. Later in the morning, you can relax or take an optional cultural tour to a nearby Maasai village where you’ll learn about their customs, traditional dance, and pastoral lifestyle (extra cost). In the afternoon, head out for another game drive focused on tracking elusive species like leopards and black rhinos. Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and a bonfire under the stars.
Today is dedicated to exploring the less frequented corners of the Masai Mara. After breakfast, you’ll venture deeper into the reserve, possibly reaching the Mara Triangle or eastern conservancies. The changing terrains increase your chances of spotting rare animals and bird species. Your guide will use radio calls from other rangers to locate active wildlife scenes, ensuring each game drive is rewarding. Lunch will be a packed picnic in the wild, allowing you to maximize your time in the field. The afternoon drive wraps up with a slow return to camp, scanning for late sightings. Overnight at your lodge.
Begin your final day with a brief morning game drive if time allows. After breakfast, check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi, enjoying the last views of Kenya’s rural landscapes. A lunch stop is made along the way. Arrival in Nairobi is expected in the late afternoon. You’ll be dropped at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable 5-day Masai Mara safari adventure.
