generoustours43@gmail.com Embark on a 4-day Serengeti wildlife safari featuring sunrise hot air balloon rides, immersive game drives, and luxurious accommodation. Explore Tanzania's premier safari destination in just four days.
Experience the heart of African wilderness on a 4-day Serengeti safari featuring spectacular wildlife viewing and a magical sunrise hot air balloon ride over the plains. This mid-range to luxury safari is ideal for travelers short on time but looking for an unforgettable safari filled with action, comfort, and breathtaking landscapes. You’ll explore the iconic Serengeti National Park, home to the Big Five and the Great Migration (seasonal), and enjoy accommodations in handpicked lodges or luxury tented camps.
Your safari adventure begins early in the morning with a transfer from your Arusha hotel to Arusha Airport for a scheduled flight to the Serengeti. Enjoy stunning aerial views of the Rift Valley and the vast savannahs. Upon landing at Seronera Airstrip, you’ll be welcomed by your guide and start your first game drive immediately.
Central Serengeti is renowned for its dense wildlife populations year-round, especially around the Seronera River. Expect to encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, and a variety of antelope species. After your game drive, head to your luxury lodge or tented camp for relaxation, dinner, and a night under the stars.
Today is dedicated to exploring the Central Serengeti extensively. After an early breakfast, depart for a full day of game drives across different habitats – open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and rocky outcrops (kopjes). Your guide will track seasonal wildlife patterns to ensure the best sightings. If it’s migration season (June–October or December–March), you may encounter vast herds of wildebeest and zebras along with the predators that follow them.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp for hot lunch, depending on animal movements. This region is predator-rich, so chances of seeing lions on a kill, leopards lounging on trees, or cheetahs stalking prey are high. Return in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Wake up before dawn for a once-in-a-lifetime experience — a hot air balloon safari. You’ll be driven to the launch site and enjoy light refreshments as the crew prepares the balloon. As the sun rises, soar silently over the Serengeti plains, spotting wildlife from above. The flight lasts around an hour and ends with a champagne-style bush breakfast.
After the balloon safari, continue with either a half-day or full-day game drive, depending on your preference. This is a great day for tracking specific animals, like a lion pride, or visiting new areas in the park like the Retina Hippo Pool or Moru Kopjes. In the evening, return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxed evening at the campfire.
Enjoy a final morning game drive after breakfast, making the most of your last moments in the Serengeti. Early mornings are ideal for spotting predators returning from a hunt. After the drive, your guide will transfer you to the Seronera Airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel or the airport for onward travel.
Optional add-ons include a stopover at Olduvai Gorge or a visit to a traditional Maasai village, depending on your flight schedule (available at extra cost).
The Serengeti offers great wildlife viewing year-round, but the best time depends on the Great Migration. For river crossings, go from July to September. For calving season, January to March is ideal. The balloon ride is available all year, weather permitting.
Q2: Is the balloon ride safe?Yes. The hot air balloon experience is operated by licensed and experienced pilots following strict safety regulations. The equipment is well maintained, and flights are only conducted in optimal weather conditions.
Q3: What should I pack?Light, neutral-colored clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, binoculars, camera, a hat, warm layers for early mornings, and personal medication. Avoid bright colors and camouflage clothing.
