generoustours43@gmail.com Explore the best of Tanzania's wildlife with this 4 Day Tarangire and Serengeti Safari Combo. Includes detailed itinerary, top highlights, expert guides, Big Five sightings, and accommodation in scenic locations.
This 4-day Tanzania safari package combines the iconic Tarangire National Park, known for its vast elephant herds and towering baobab trees, with the legendary Serengeti, home to the Big Five and the Great Migration. Perfect for travelers with limited time but seeking an authentic wildlife experience, this safari offers rich game viewing, scenic landscapes, and comfortable accommodations in top-class lodges or tented camps.
After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, your safari driver-guide will pick you up around 8:00 AM. You’ll embark on a drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its dense wildlife concentration during the dry season, especially herds of elephants and buffaloes. Game viewing begins as soon as you enter the park gates. Look out for tree-climbing pythons, lion prides resting under acacia trees, and giraffes in the distance. The Tarangire River attracts large numbers of animals – a great spot for photography and quiet observation. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated area and continue your afternoon game drive until late evening.
Accommodation: Tarangire Sopa Lodge / Tarangire Safari Lodge
Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast, you depart Tarangire and head northwest toward the Serengeti via the Ngorongoro highlands. Along the way, you'll enjoy views of rural Tanzania, Masai villages, and the shifting scenery of escarpments, forests, and open plains. Arrive at the Serengeti gate in the early afternoon. After registration, enjoy an en-route game drive into the heart of Serengeti. The central Serengeti (Seronera area) is known for its rich wildlife due to the Seronera River, which supports predators and prey year-round. You may witness lions on a hunt, cheetahs scanning the horizon, or even leopards resting in sausage trees.
Accommodation: Serengeti Heritage Camp / Kati Kati Tented Camp / Serengeti Serena Lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, when predators are most active and the golden light is perfect for photography. After returning for breakfast, continue your exploration of Serengeti’s endless plains. Your guide will tailor the route based on wildlife movement, recent sightings, and the season – whether it's the calving season in the south or migration river crossings in the north. You’ll explore key game circuits including Moru Kopjes, Retina Hippo Pool, and the Seronera River Valley. Expect to see elephants, hyenas, jackals, vultures, gazelles, impalas, hartebeests, and plenty of bird species. Break for a picnic lunch under a shaded acacia, then proceed with your afternoon game drive until dusk.
Accommodation: Same as previous night
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the camp or lodge. Depending on your travel preferences and flight schedule, you can either take a morning game drive before driving back to Arusha or opt for a scenic flight (at extra cost) from Serengeti Airstrip to Arusha Airport. If driving, you’ll pass again through Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop for photos at viewpoints. Arrival in Arusha will be in the late afternoon. You will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari adventure.
Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch
