You'll enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. In the late afternoon, head to a public campsite near Lake Manyara for dinner and an overnight stay in tents equipped with sleeping bags and mattresses. Basic shared facilities are available.
After breakfast at camp, drive toward Serengeti National Park via the lush highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop briefly at the Ngorongoro viewpoint for a photo opportunity overlooking the crater. Descend into the endless plains of Serengeti, known for its abundant wildlife and the Great Migration (depending on the season). Return to camp for breakfast, then continue with another game drive toward the park’s exit gate. Enjoy lunch en route and begin your journey toward Ngorongoro, game-driving through the park as you go. Reach Simba Campsite on the crater rim in the late afternoon. The air is cooler here due to the altitude, and you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the crater below. After dinner, rest up for an exciting final day.
Wake up early and descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. The crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five in a single day. You may see black rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and countless birds. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool and continue your game drive until midday.
